Fantasmata 04:23

Blame Me 02:52
Everything was right, one moment ago. Now everyone I trust, comes closer to betray me. And blame me. Everyone was wrong, now I feel like a child. The lust is coming back, remembering the past. Betray me. And blame me.

Streetwalker 03:23
It's ten past two, under the purple neon lights. The night is young but already full of vice. One Johnny's look is what it takes to seal the deal. It's hard to tell if it's a nightmare or if it's real. Ha, ha. Every night Ha, ha. It's a sacrifice. Ha, ha. Every night Ha, ha. It's a sacrifice. She tries to wander off, to wander off her mind. Not getting easier but it's like the rope unbinds. Helpless and looking back how it is to feel. It's hard to tell if it's a nightmare or if it's real. Ha, ha. Every night Ha, ha. It's a sacrifice. Ha, ha. Every night Ha, ha. It's a sacrifice. Her eyes are open like she sees for the first time. Her dress is dirty with a bloody layer of grime. Johnny's in shock and watching her without a sound. Tomorrow Johnny will be nowhere to be found. Ha, ha. Every night Ha, ha. It's a sacrifice. Ha, ha. Every night Ha, ha. It's a sacrifice.

A strange happenstance, recall it at a glance. Illuminating your ways. Your secret hideout, has now been dried out. You should embrace your final days. Some say, some say. Some say that you won't last for long. Some say, some say. Some say they're gonna bring you down. Your methods make me sick. Your bloody fingers flick. How could anyone stoop so low? Congratulations! Ruined generations. Now that's a way to go. Your time is running, your time is running out. You see me smiling, keeps me from coming out. My voice is shattered, my hope is getting strong. Your time is ending and you better play it along. Some say, some say. Some say that you won't last for long. Some say, some say. Some say they're gonna bring you down.

A Reminder 05:14
Moving, under your skin. It's a reminder, of where you've been. A way out, is looking for. No one, no one, no one can hear you anymore. No one, no one, no one can hear you anymore. No one, no one, no one can hear you anymore. A dream, that's all it is. Behind her, Before it disappears. The pain and all the love. Keep it, keep it, keep it close before it's gone Keep it, keep it, keep it close before it's gone Keep it, keep it, keep it close before it's gone

Remember all the dreams we had, baby? When we were driving with your car. All the mountains that we crossed. And all the times that we’ve got lost. Drowning, I feel like drowning. I miss you darling even more. Forget you, how could I forget you. When I’m walking by the same old shore. Remember when we wanted more, baby? But before the tip we fall. One more step and then despair. Baby don’t forget I still care. Drowning, I feel like drowning. I miss you darling even more. Forget you, how could I forget you. When I’m walking by the same old shore.

about

Who is P. Thomas anyway? “Don’t ask a lot of questions, you don’t want to know…” But you have seen him. He is right beside you on the metro station, right there on the bar, behind you in line at the supermarket. He is everywhere. He made this town his own a long time ago. He left everything behind, all over the place, and he came to retell a new story.

Vaggelis Makris introduces us to P. Thomas, a version of the human he never got to be, with his first album. Souvenirs From A Past Life will be released this March and welcomes us to his world.

The frustration, the pursuit of himself, all the memories and of course romance are the main themes that construct his world. The dirty Athenian sidewalks are intertwined with the neon lights of a New York that no longer exists and the boundaries are getting more and more blurry.

P. Thomas leads his listeners in a seemingly innocent but ultimately nightmarish path where his only enemy is his own self and the versions of it. He precedes accompanied by his personal “Ghosts”, without much analysis, almost “Disjointedly”.

The last ‘Νew Yorker’ prophet, warns us of what has already been done and reminds us that at the end of the day, no matter what you've been through, what matters is you that you hold on to what you really need next to you - that very part of you that makes you who you are today.

So, whether you are in a very small room, or in a concert hall or maybe drinking on a big wooden bar, this album tells the same story. Eventually, P. Thomas will probably laugh because after all you took this very seriously and for once more, he will hide in the streets.

To Souvenirs From A Past Life που θα κυκλοφορήσει από την Inner Ear Records τον Μάρτιο, μας καλωσορίζει στον δικό του κόσμο.

about

P.Thomas Athens, Greece

P.Thomas is a fictional character and is the alter ego and stage persona of Vagelis Makris.
P.Thomas was a musician performing mostly at night clubs and bars in an irrelevant location at an irrelevant time. P.Thomas’ work is an expression of how he perceives the differences in how people lived their lives then and now. He is a combination of Tom Waits and Martin Rev but with PJ Harveys’ charm. ... more
